JDYFL Announces Conference Alignment for the 2026 Season!
Greetings, JDYFL Coaches, Parents, Players, and Fans!
The Jefferson District Youth Football League is excited to introduce a new format for the 2026 season!
With the addition of three new organizations, our league has grown enough to officially implement conference play, making every game even more meaningful.
Conference Championships Matter!
Each of our four divisions will crown Conference Champions, and those champions will earn the #1 and #2 playoff seeds based on overall record.
Playoff Seeding
* Seeds #1 & #2: Conference Champions (ranked by best overall record)
* Seeds #3–#6: Remaining teams with the best records across both conferences
Tiebreakers
1. Head-to-Head
2. Points Allowed (PA)
3. Coin Toss
2026 Regular Season Format
Each team will play:
* 4 Conference Games
* 4 Non-Conference Games
National Football Conference (NFC)
* Monticello Mustangs

* Powhatan Indians
* Buckingham Knights
* Louisa Lions
American Football Conference (AFC)
* Albemarle Patriots
* Orange Hornets
* Charlottesville Black Knights

* Madison Mountaineers
* Rockingham (The Herd)
* Western Albemarle Warriors
This exciting new format creates more rivalry games, increases the importance of every conference matchup, and raises the stakes as teams battle for conference championships and playoff positioning.

Football Parents will submit either a DMV ID, Passport or Birth Certificate, as well as Proof of school, Page 3 of the VHSL Physical and complete the Global Code of Conduct.
Cheer Parents will complete the Global Code of Conduct Only.
